Chief & Princess Elections

Homecoming Chief & Princess Elections are hosted by the Student Alumni Association. The Homecoming Court is selected based on each individual’s application and interview, and is comprised of six female and six male students. All senior and graduate students with a GPA above a 3.0 are encouraged to apply.

Homecoming Banner Contest


The Homecoming Banner Contest is an opportunity for organizations to celebrate Homecoming by creating banners, which flaunt the spirit of Homecoming and showcase their artistic talent. The banner will incorporate not only the overall theme, but also the individual pairings’ Homecoming 2015 theme and will be displayed in the Oglesby Union.

Jimbo Fisher’s True Seminole Homecoming Tailgate

Game time: FSU vs. NC State 12:30pm

The Homecoming Tailgate will take place 2 hours before the Florida State Seminoles take on the NC State Wolfpack on November 14, 2015. This will be a chance for members of the Seminole community to get excited for the big game at Doak Campbell Stadium. There will be free food, giveaways, and music at the tailgate.


Pow Wow

Pow Wow is an annual evening of entertainment and laughter held on the night before FSU's Homecoming football game. Appearances by special FSU performers entertain the audience and the evening culminates with an unforgettable performance by a well-known comedian. The 2014 headliner was Kenan Thompson and opening for Kenan was Colin Jost. Attend Pow Wow to witness the crowning of Florida State’s Homecoming Chief and Princess, along with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each Homecoming category. Renegade Recess

Showing FSU’s dedication to both service and future Seminoles, Renegade Recess allows FSU students to create a “recess break” with numerous themed booth activities for over 250 elementary aged children from the Boys and Girls Clubs in the Tallahassee community.  Student groups wishing to participate may register a booth for the event in September.

Seminole Festival

The Seminole Festival is a fun-filled evening with a carnival atmosphere. Students will have the opportunity to enjoy carnival food, games, and live entertainment. Torch Pursuit is one of the events held during Seminole Festival. The event is free for all who wish to attend.
