Homecoming Executive Council & Committee

The Homecoming Executive Council & Committee consists of students who plan events for FSU students and the community each year. Applications for the Overall Director, Overall Assistant Director of Homecoming, and Homecoming Live Director are released in December or January each year and the positions are appointed by the SGA President. All other Executive Council positions are chosen through an application and interview process in the spring semester. Positions are tied both to events and areas such as working with volunteers, student groups, communications, sponsorships, and event planning to name a few. Positions selected in the spring semester start their terms immediately and they last through the end of the fall semester, picking up in responsibility as Homecoming approaches. For more information, you may contact fsuhcoveralldirectors@gmail.com and fsuhclive@gmail.com.

Spirit Force

Spirit Force is a smaller group of students passionate about Florida State University. This group is essential for the execution of the week of Homecoming and get to plan their own event, Chalk on Legacy Walk, an event where RSOs are able to make chalk creations related to that year’s Homecoming theme. The chalk art is judged and both winners and participants receive points for the Homecoming Competition. Applications for Spirit Force open in the Fall semester. For more information about Spirit Force, please email the Spirit Force Chair at fsuhcspiritforce@gmail.com.

Delegates

Each Registered Student Organization on campus has the opportunity to have a delegate for Homecoming. Delegates attend meetings and act as the liaison from Homecoming to their organization. For more information on delegates, please email the Outreach Director at fsuhcoutreachdirector@gmail.com.

Homecoming Court

Each Fall, the Student Alumni Association partners with Homecoming to select 12 candidates for Homecoming Court. These students attend all Homecoming events, are announced at Homecoming Live, then crowned at half-time during the Homecoming football game. Applications for Homecoming Court open in the Fall Semester. For more information about Homecoming Court, please email the Director of Homecoming Parade, Chief, and Princess at fsuhcsaa@gmail.com.

Participate in Homecoming Events!

RSOs, groups of friends, and individual students are always welcome to participate in Homecoming events just for fun! Come share your talent, sing your heart out in some karaoke, play in a sports tournament with friends, or participate in the parade. Everyone is welcome! Check the participation packets for deadlines and how to register for individual events.

And of course, all Homecoming events are free for FSU students with a valid FSUCard. From the carnival at Seminole Festival to celebrating FSU’s longest-running tradition at Homecoming Live, Homecoming has something for everyone!
