Homecoming is one of the most prestigious and time-honored traditions at FSU. Homecoming Court is a unique way to recognize eligible students and their accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom and provide an opportunity for students who wish to serve as role models. By applying for Homecoming Court, students begin their journey of joining some of our most notable alumni and start giving back to FSU while still a student.
Each fall, the Student Alumni Association coordinates the process to select 12 candidates for Homecoming Court in partnership with faculty, staff and alumni. These students attend all Homecoming events, are announced to the FSU community during a homecoming event, and then crowned at half-time during the Homecoming football game. Members of Homecoming Court are chosen based on their ability to exemplify leadership, dedication, spirit, and achievement through their academic success, contributions to the greater community, and involvement at Florida State University. Court members are expected to serve as leaders and role models while representing not only Florida State University, but also what it means to embody the Seminole spirit.
Eligibility
All Applicants
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA as of August 5, 2026.
- Must be considered in “good academic standing” by University Registrar
- Successfully pass conduct check by the Department of Student Conduct and Community Standards
- Successfully satisfy all GPA and credit hour requirements as determined by University Registrar
- Full-time FSU faculty or staff members are PROHIBITED from applying
- Candidates are ineligible if they have previously been selected to serve on court in the past
Undergraduate Applicants
- Undergraduate students must have completed or registered to complete at least 90 credit hours at the time of application.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours for the Fall 2026 Semester.
- Must have attended FSU for at least one academic year.
Graduate Applicants who previously attended FSU
- Graduate students who also attended FSU for their undergraduate degree do not have a minimum credit hour requirement.
Graduate Applicants who did not previously attend FSU
- Graduate students who attended another institution must have completed or registered to complete at least 18 credit hours at FSU.
Mandatory Interest Meetings:
Attendance at one mandatory interest meeting is required before submitting an application. During the meeting, applicants will learn about the Homecoming Court selection process, eligibility requirements, expectations, and key dates. All meetings will be held virtually via Zoom.
